Gdansk - pitstop or staying put?

IMG_7088.JPG

From my doorstep in Brattvåg it takes only four hours and you are situated in Gdansk, with all the close-by options. Direct routes are a pleasure. Brattvåg is overcrovded with polish population and Gdansk look like Ålesund. So no contrast then?

I have nine days vacation. The question is; how many days will I spend in Gdansk?

I always worry of queueing up with people from east europe. The lot leaving from Ålesund surprised me, after shave and eau de cologne simply has replaced bad odour. Wizzair punctual and effective. The flight was as good as the price. Of course one guy had to destroy what could have been a impeccable time onboard. Anyway one shit drunk passenger is affordable.

The first obstacle arriving in a new country, is the taxidrivers. If you dont have a passport problem of course. After cashing out on the ATM, the taxi-challenge was up. Not sure if there was a queue or not :-) The taxidriver responde taxameter when asked of price to Puro Hotel. That can be good and bad. This time it was a good. The taxifares are lined up on the sidewindow and the taxameter actually works. I took about 20 minutes to Puro who are close by the main street and the lively channelside. The price was reasonable, 15 Euro in total. In every sense, a good start. No start is worse than being robbed by the local taxidriver ...
